We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect our customers, website or business.
3. Products and Services
DEBUT provides a garment reworking and customisation service.
In most cases, customers supply an existing sports, rugby or supporter jersey which is altered into the selected DEBUT silhouette or style.
We aim to describe and display our products and services as accurately as reasonably possible.
However, please note that:
- Colours may appear differently depending on your screen or device
- Individually reworked garments may contain slight variations
- Pattern and graphic positioning will depend on the original jersey supplied
- Measurements may vary slightly due to the nature of clothing and alterations
- Product photography represents the general style and may not be identical to the customer’s finished garment
Customers should review the relevant product page before purchasing.
4. Customer-Supplied Jerseys
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer is responsible for supplying the jersey that DEBUT will alter.
The customer confirms that they are entitled to provide the garment to DEBUT for alteration.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the jersey supplied:
- Is the correct garment intended for the relevant order
- Is reasonably clean and suitable for alteration
- Is in a condition appropriate for the selected customisation
- Has been correctly labelled or linked to the relevant order where requested
DEBUT is not responsible for pre-existing wear, damage, staining, defects or weaknesses in the customer’s jersey that were present before it was received by us.
Where we identify an issue that may affect the alteration, we may contact the customer before proceeding.
5. Reworked Garments
Reworking may include:
- Cinching
- Gathering
- Cropping
- Tailoring
- Waist modifications
- Lace detailing
- Fit adjustments
- Appliqué
- Other design alterations
Every jersey differs in fabric, construction, graphics and sizing.
As a result, minor variations in stitching, gathering, pattern placement, proportions or finishing may occur.
These characteristics form part of the nature of an individually reworked garment and do not necessarily indicate a defect.
6. Customised and Personalised Garments
DEBUT garments are generally altered according to the customer’s chosen design, garment and instructions.
Customisation may include:
- Individual garment sizing
- Custom waist placement
- Selected silhouettes
- Personalised details
- Lace numbers
- Special alterations
- Customer-requested modifications
Because customised products are made specifically for the customer, different cancellation and return rules may apply where permitted by law.
Nothing in this section removes statutory rights relating to defective, unsafe or otherwise non-compliant products.
7. Product Sizing
Customers are responsible for reviewing relevant sizing and fit information before placing an order.
Because DEBUT garments are reworked from customer-supplied jerseys, the finished fit may vary depending on the original garment.
We recommend reviewing:
- Size guides
- Product measurements
- Fit descriptions
- Product-specific notes
- Any instructions supplied on the relevant product page
If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.
Email: debutcpt@gmail.com
WhatsApp: 064 674 5868
8. Jersey Submission Deadline
After placing an order, customers have 10 working days to either:
- Deliver their jersey to DEBUT using the method selected at checkout; or
- Provide DEBUT with valid tracking information showing that the jersey is in transit.
Where tracking information is supplied within the 10-working-day period, the submission period may be paused while the parcel is travelling to DEBUT.
Customers should use their order number as a reference when communicating tracking information.
If we do not receive the jersey or valid tracking information within the required period, the order may be cancelled in accordance with our Returns & Exchanges Policy, checkout disclosures and applicable law.
9. Ways to Send Your Jersey to DEBUT
Available jersey-submission methods may include:
Rondebosch Drop-Off
18 Firlands Rd

Unless otherwise communicated, drop-off is available Monday to Friday during the hours stated in your confirmation email.
PostNet
Customers may send their jersey to the PostNet destination specified during checkout or in their order confirmation.
The Courier Guy
Customers may send their jersey using The Courier Guy or the relevant locker details supplied during checkout or in their order confirmation.
Customers remain responsible for arranging and paying for the delivery of their jersey to DEBUT unless otherwise expressly stated.
10. Product Availability
All products and available customisation slots are subject to availability.
Adding an item to your cart does not reserve production capacity.
We cannot guarantee availability until an order has been successfully placed and accepted.
If we are unable to fulfil an order after payment, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate remedy.
11. Prices
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
Prices shown at checkout will include or clearly display applicable:
- Product or customisation costs
- Add-ons
- Discounts
- Taxes where applicable
- Delivery charges
- Other applicable fees
We reserve the right to change prices at any time.
Price changes will not normally affect orders already accepted and paid for.
12. Pricing Errors
We make reasonable efforts to ensure prices are correct.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may, where legally permitted, contact you to:
- Confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price; or
- Cancel the affected order and issue an appropriate refund.
13. Orders
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected DEBUT customisation service or product.
After ordering, you may receive an automated acknowledgement.
An order will generally proceed once:
- Payment has been successfully received
- The selected service is available
- Accurate customer information has been supplied
- Any required security checks have been completed
Production cannot begin until DEBUT has received the jersey being altered.
14. Right to Refuse or Cancel an Order
We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- A service is unavailable
- Payment fails
- Payment is reversed
- Fraud is suspected
- Incorrect information was supplied
- An obvious pricing error occurred
- The garment cannot reasonably be altered as requested
- The customer does not supply the required jersey
- The order violates these Terms
- We are legally unable to complete the transaction
Any refund or retained amount will be handled according to the circumstances, our Returns & Exchanges Policy and applicable law.
15. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods displayed during checkout.
Payments are processed through Paystack and any other payment service we may make available from time to time.

By providing payment details, you confirm that:
- You are authorised to use the relevant payment method
- The information supplied is accurate
- You authorise the applicable transaction
We are not responsible for a bank or payment provider declining a transaction.
16. Payment Security

- Submission deadline
- Delivery information
Please check the confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if anything is incorrect.
18. Order Changes

- The jersey has been cut or altered
- Personalised work has begun
- A courier booking has been created
- The finished piece has been dispatched
19. Order Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.
Whether cancellation is possible may depend on:
- Whether customisation has begun
- Whether materials or production time have been allocated
- Whether work has already been performed
- Whether the garment has already been dispatched
- Any statutory cancellation rights that apply
Applicable refunds will be handled in accordance with our Returns & Exchanges Policy and applicable South African law.
20. Production Time
Once your jersey has been received by DEBUT and is ready for customisation, normal production generally takes approximately:
5–7 working days.
This is an estimate and may vary depending on:
- The selected style
- The condition or construction of the original garment
- Additional customisation
- Order volumes
- Public holidays
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Where a significant delay occurs, we will communicate with the customer where reasonably possible.
21. Delivery Areas
DEBUT currently accepts delivery orders within South Africa, subject to availability of a suitable delivery service for the destination entered at checkout.
Available delivery methods and prices will be displayed during checkout.
22. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated or displayed before checkout is completed.
Charges may depend on:
- Destination
- Courier service
- Delivery method
- Parcel size
- Parcel weight
- Promotional shipping offers
DEBUT currently integrates with The Courier Guy for applicable courier deliveries.
23. Delivery Times
Delivery time begins after the completed garment has been dispatched.
The estimated courier transit time depends on:
- The service available for the customer’s address
- Destination
- Courier network conditions
- Whether the destination is a main centre or regional area
Where available, the relevant delivery service or estimate will be shown during checkout or supplied with tracking information.
Courier delivery times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.
24. Local Pickup
Where Local Pickup is selected at checkout, the customer will not be charged courier delivery for the finished piece.
Once the alteration is complete, the customer will be notified that the order is ready for collection.
Collection arrangements may be confirmed through:
Email: debutcpt@gmail.com
WhatsApp: 064 674 5868
Customers should wait for the Ready for Collection notification before attempting to collect an order.
25. Delivery Delays
Delays may occur because of:
- Courier delays
- Severe weather
- Public holidays
- High order volumes
- Strikes
- Incorrect addresses
- Remote locations
- Events outside our reasonable control
If a significant delay occurs, please contact us and we will assist where reasonably possible.
26. Delivery Addresses
Customers are responsible for entering complete and accurate delivery information.
Please verify:
- Street address
- Suburb
- City
- Province
- Postal code
- Telephone number
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after a courier booking or dispatch has occurred.
Additional delivery charges may apply where an item must be resent because incorrect information was supplied.

- A waybill or tracking number

the parcel may be returned.
Additional delivery charges may apply before the parcel is sent again, where legally permitted.
29. Risk and Delivery
Please inspect your parcel after delivery.
If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs of:
- The packaging
- Courier label
- Damaged garment
- Visible parcel damage
Please retain the packaging while the issue is assessed.
30. Returns and Exchanges
Returns, alterations, exchanges and refunds are governed by our separate Returns & Exchanges Policy, available on the DEBUT website.
Customers should review that policy before purchasing.
31. Change-of-Mind Returns
Because DEBUT’s primary service involves altering a customer-supplied garment specifically for that customer, ordinary change-of-mind returns may be restricted where permitted by law.
Any non-customised goods offered by DEBUT will be dealt with according to the Returns & Exchanges Policy and applicable law.
32. Online Cooling-Off Rights
Certain electronic transactions may qualify for statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights under South African law.
Such rights depend on the type of transaction and any applicable statutory exclusions.
Products or services made according to customer specifications or clearly personalised may be treated differently under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
33. Custom Product Returns
Where a garment has been altered specifically according to:
- Customer instructions
- Selected style
- Measurements
- Personalisation
- Requested design details
ordinary change-of-mind returns may be restricted where permitted by law.
This does not affect statutory remedies relating to defective or non-compliant workmanship.
34. Defective Products or Customisation
If you believe there is a problem with the customisation, contact:
Please provide:
- Your full name
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photographs where appropriate
DEBUT currently offers one complimentary alteration for qualifying customisation issues reported within 7 days of delivery or collection, subject to the terms of our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
This does not limit any statutory rights that apply.
South African consumer law provides statutory remedies for goods that fail applicable quality standards. Government of South Africa
35. Incorrect Orders
If DEBUT completes an order incorrectly or supplies something materially different from the order placed, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where the mistake is ours, we will arrange an appropriate remedy.
36. Refunds
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned using the original payment method unless another arrangement is legally permitted and agreed.
Once processed by DEBUT, the time required for the funds to appear may depend on:
- Bank
- Card issuer
- Paystack
- Payment method
37. Exchanges
Because DEBUT’s products generally involve custom alterations to a customer-supplied garment, traditional size or colour exchanges may not always be possible.
Where an exchange or alternative remedy is available, it may depend on:
- Nature of the issue
- Condition of the garment
- Whether further alteration is possible
- Applicable consumer rights
- Relevant delivery charges
38. Sale Items
Sale or discounted products remain subject to applicable statutory consumer rights.
Where DEBUT offers additional voluntary return rights, different conditions may apply to items expressly identified as Final Sale.

The presence of a third-party brand does not by itself represent sponsorship, partnership or endorsement by the relevant rights holder.
DEBUT’s service involves altering garments supplied by customers and should not be interpreted as an official collaboration with any team, sponsor or sporting organisation unless expressly stated.
